Day 1 Middle Atlas One Day Excursion
The Native Moroccan team will take you to a remarkable destination hidden between the high mountains of the Middle Atlas. Your day trip from Fez to the Middle Atlas starts by picking you up from your hotel in Fez, the oldest city in Morocco. In addition, takes you through the most captivating views of the beautiful mountains and charming little Berber villages.
The first stop of our excursion to the Middle Atlas is Immouzer, the small tourist town and one of the largest water sources in Morocco. It was built by the French on the Atlas mountain ranges. We would have some time in the small Berber town to have our typical Berber breakfast and explore the beautiful nature, discovering the impressive Berber culture. After that, we will stop at Dait Aoua, the most famous lake in Morocco surrounded by a wet shale peerage and forests of green oaks and cedar.
Then, we will continue our excursion to the Middle Atlas, Ifrane, a charming alpine village, known as “Little Moroccan Switzerland”, where you cross the flower-lined avenues and admire the French-style architecture of this picturesque little town.
We will then move to Azrou, the city bordered by rugged wooded hills and a volcanic outcrop from which it also takes its name. You would also be amazed by this superb relaxing getaway in Fez.
We will first visit the oldest and largest cedar in Morocco, the famous “Cedar Gouraud”. Then, we will take you through the preserved forest of cedars of Morocco, to enjoy the coolness and calm of this beautiful region and see more closely monkeys jumping and oscillating through the trees.
At the end of your visit, we will drop you off at your hotel or Riad in Fez.
